As for the X5, I have two, both with stock servos, going strong 100+ flights.

Can someone please tell me if you are supposed to get cyclic servo movement at the outer rim of the cyclic stick range? I get servo movement up until about 75% out from center and then if I continue moving the cyclic stick beyond that point my servos stop moving. Is this normal. It seems as if MICROBEAST comes with a limit travel on the cyclic. I thought the servos are supposed to move in proportion with your stick movement all the way till your gimbal hits its limit. What gives??

My stock cyclic servos definitely put the swash into the range limit. Initially I wasn't paying attention to it, until I saw the main shaft flexing.
The tail servo is ok. I'm making due with it right now. I actually added a new hole closer on the horn. It seems the X2 tail has a bit too much mechanical advantage. By adding a closer hole, I was able to go up on some needed gain in the BeastX. As I get used to the X2 and fly more aggressive, I'll probably want a new tail servo. But for now, it works fine for me. |

I haven't built it yet but I will be using HiTec HS65MG on the cyclics and MKS DS95i on the tail with a Beastx for my new X2 kit. I can't wait to start the build.

I think HS65's will be alittle too big for X2. Those are cyclic servos more for 450 size helis. I could be wrong, but I kind of remember when I was building my X2 that those servos were too big.

the ds 09 did not last long
im back on the ds 11 amb, also on the cAstle gov on a 15t at 3900rpm idl1,, idle 2 is 4100, my beastx dial 1 is turned way up with edge 253mm blades the only batterys able to keep up are hyperion 45c ex 900 and hyperion 35c 1100, the gens ace 1000 and optipower are still new and cant keep up after a minute in. i have some more hyperion 1100 45c coming, im getting 3:30 with the other 1100 vx 35c packs but they come down warm. |

one gear stripped in flight, i landed ok.
another one locked up , i changed the metal gears and still they did not work 2 other ones burned up, the ds11 are working great. i think maybee they could not handle 10 flights back to back |

This is bad news as I just got some to install. Were they new, or were they crashed before they failed? The ds11 seem to have same specs, but maybe stronger since bigger? The 09 do seem a bit small for X2.

the torque is diffrent and it matters on the x2 with a power motor
ds-09amb= 67oz/in @5.5v ds11amb=70oz/ic @5.5v does not seem like much, but the motor inside the dso9 is kinda small 3oz/in on 3 servos is a good loss thats 9oz total. i have seen some others use the dso9 with no problems but mine were gettti g beat like i did on my ds11 and the 09'sgave up i would say fly them till they quit, another thing is the space in front of the servo, it was not letting me get true 90degrees |

I've had hyperion DS11 but didn't last more than 70 flights, they lost authority, still quick but very weak.
Now I have've been having Ino-labs, light and not one issue in 2years.. Shame on me, I was still looking at unescessary change.. thinking now into Hitecs HS5065MG, I've read many good things about them. 2g more than the ino-labs, but the helis should still be able to take it Anyone has experience with those? |

Re: X2/255 servos, post your setup
I agree.
My 11amb servos perform well. Cracked a mounting tab and can't get just the case anywhere. I'm thinking I'll replace with different servos. Sucks that the gears and motor are still in great condition. R71D Sent from my phone, excuse the bad grammar and auto corrections.

yeah , only thing we can do is keep those for parts.
the ds11 amb i have are holding up great, no issues on this set of servos. plus i have 4 with broken tabs that i can use for parts. if they went weak on you all you need is to replace the brushed motor inside by taking one off a donor ds11. also keep loctite very far away from the plastic on the hyperion servos, it breaks them instantly. |
