Thinking of getting the 5.5 combo kit, comes with a free Chase 360 kit right now, how fast is their shipping? How is their customer service? Is this a good reliable place to order from?

I didn't see this deal but the 5.5 is going for $450 which is what I paid used for my 5.5. Heck of a deal. Also I've never had any problems with KDSUSA, it always ships the same day or the next depending on what time you place the order with no inflated shipping costs, I believe they just pass on their costs.

Shipping is quick, customer service is great, no worries ordering from USA warehouse on in stock items..

I can see some changes. For months (lost track of how many) KDS USA listed not a single Chase 360 in stock. No stock on the combo kit, but 9 of the basic kit. I would like to see them list the version number instead of simply "latest version" but 9 basic kits in stock is still a big step forward from that long period of stagnation.

Don't know if this helps but I was speaking to Benny from Hawk creations and he mentioned KDS are testing a three bladed head (and perhaps tail?) for the Chase...I asked him about 21T motor pinions and aluminium tail booms and he said KDS was getting all that stuff sorted out soon...

So perhaps the light at the end of the tunnel is nigh?

Anyone have a number for the kds usa lcation? The one on their website isnt valid. I placed an order for a 75 dollar one way clutch and i emailed them yesterday about shipping and still havent heard back. With parts that expensive youd think they would have a little better service. I just wanna make sure I can get it reasonable soon to fly at an even this weekend. Not lookin good though.

Updates: I did get the part I needed within a few days, so that's good news. Seems like their new USA location is fully stocked. Never got a response from them, but I'll take it!

I have a unopened 7.2 and have been torn as to whether to build it I ordered spares the other day from the USA site the parts arrived promptly. Time to start building I guess:-)

As far as helicopter sales go I can tell you from experience that sales are. definitely down I dumped my Synergy dealership and closed my canopy store partially for this reason. Direct sales for kits will more than likely be the rule for the not so main stream manufacturers. Synergy has done this for a good while now which in itself may drive the dealers away. The issue with this scenario comes back to parts availability. When vendors no longer carry parts and you are force to direct sales the supply lines become thin. Many of my Synergy parts sales were driven by the out stock scenario on the Synergy store. Same situation with KDS when the USA store is out. No other US alternative.
In the long haul it will be interesting to see how this plays out. Hopefully when the drone craze subsides and folks come to their senses the Heli market will improve.

So what is the status I have been thinking about getting a Chase again but don't won't to be stuck with a heli I can't get parts for. Also I don't see any avaiable as the motor esc combo anywhere everyone is out of stock or it's been discontinued

The Chase combo 1 kit appears to be available on eBay and Hawk RC & RC Hobbymall in asia. The V4 kit, with the new tail, is recommended as is the steel 2nd stage pinion.

Since my last post I have bought a bunch of stuff and everything came in very quickly everything was in stock and packed well from KDS USA

Parts for KDS chase and agile are complete stocked in www.planetheli.com, the only issue is the shipping cost, ships from Indonesia. Check it out.
