120 sr low rpms
I bought 2 new batteries, a tail motor and replaced a bad servo. It just seems like the rpm's should be faster at full throttle. Should I get the Xtreme main motor and if so will it out perform a new stock motor? It will hover. but seems like something kills battery juice quick, then won't hover up. I'm getting a new Dx6i for Christmas, is there a way to increase motor gain?

I have two of the newer 120S and one has 200+ flights on the stock brushed motor with no trouble yet. I don't know if that is the same motor as the 120SR though. I'd not put a high performance power hungry motor in one of these IMHO. You could try increasing the throttle travel in your radio to over 100%. I have my nano CPS set for 140 in throttle travel and pitch just to get decent lift.

Thanks, I am selling it so I was just wanting it to be its best. I bought it used in great shape and was not impressed compared to the youtube videos of it flying. They must be hopped up and using the better radio.
