There is no "attempt", only "do" or "do not"... and you did great!

Smile Steep learning curve... Sheesh!

Here's my first go at it. Can't wait to take what I learned and turn it on a fresh canvas! Thanks to everyone who posted help on this topic. You helped make it a fun and rewarding experience.

Default My bleach bottle

My 1st attempt at painting a heli. It is the stock Rappy 50 canopy (bleach bottle plastic). A bit of a chellenge, but I was satisfied with the result. Nothing fancy, but hopefully you'll think it's nice and clean. Ultra 7000 auto finish & clear coat over Bulldog spray adhesive promoter/primer. I've not flown her yet. The paint appears to be well adheared, but after all I've read I have visions of her shaking paint off like a dog shakes water off when I fire her up... we'll see!

Default Some new lids

Hey Guys,

Here are a couple of new canopy's. The white one is a standard 600 shape mad with carbon lay-up in the screen area. And the other one is a custom made mold for 450 size made completely out of carbon.

Cheers from New Zealand

Here's my R90 Milk Jug Canopy, Spray can Painted & then Automotive clear coated! Canopy, fins & landing gear flame treated over stove prior to painting. Paint is holding up extremely well on canopy!

This was my first ever attempt at painting anything, Furion stock plastic canopy using inkjet decals a very dodgy airbrush and decanted paint from rattle cans.

Thanks! I'm glad you like it. Here is another slightly more basic one I did afterwards for my flying buddy.
