Default Couple More Questions

I feel like I've got my own forum going here.....

I have noticed that some people have two fuel tanks, one being much smaller than the other. It looks as though the carb is fed by the small one which is fed by the large one. I'm wondering what the purpose of the small one is. What benefit is there in having the smaller one?

Also, I see that some people place their battery pack directly on top of their receiver. I have never seen that done in R/C aircraft before. Doesn't that tend to cause RF interference?

The 'header tank' (small one) remains full, and is fed off the main tank which is pressurized by the exhaust.
So when your banging your heli around all over the place, you keep a constant supply of fuel to the motor as there is (should be) no air in the header tank, and thus no risk of the motor fuel line clunk taking in air.

PS, fill your tanks from the motor/header tank lines (take the line off the carb or filter an plug your fuel pump into that.

Thanks, I'll have to pick one up at the hobby shop. Maybe I can figure out where to hang it.

You can put a header tank on now if you wish, it is not really need till you plan to get upside-down on purpose.

If you get the tank, there should be a screw hole to mount it on on the right hand side if you get the self tapping screw (carb side), above the main tank - refer to my pics in my 'virgin stinger' thread for positioning.
