Experience is something you gain only after you need it.
I wouldn't mind social media so much if it didn't involve people.

I found that on ebay I had to buy a packet of 200, but they are dirt cheap to be fair. I went to our local electronics store, had to buy a pack of 8 and cost me $4.

I’m close to finalizing my first telemetry setup, super excited! My question is whether or not I can use a Castle link quick connect device after the ESC and before it goes into the pull up resistor cable assembly per the manual. So for my setup, it would look like ESC -> Castle link quick connect -> pull up resistor cable assembly -> CH1 of the Brain2.

Thanks,
Jay

If Iam reading this correctly, you want a connector spliced into the speed controller cable so you can connect the speed controller and make changes without having to disconnect anything, correct?
If so , then I have done similar with my Hobbywing ESC so I can update firmware or make changes without unplugging the ESC and it works fine. I haven't done it on my Castle ESc but I can't see why it would be any different.

Need some help....got this setup with my Icon2 BT and RCE BL80A. Running single wire from signal at esc to middle of 456. Dx9 is auto configured. How can I verify esc is sending info..... inside my house as its raining out.

Hobbywing instructions and drawings for their opto esc's aren't the best.

I'm pretty sure this would end badly.... or at least simply wouldn't work.

I got it all working by 1x telemetry signal wire from scm to 5 of 456 port and all 3 wires from esc to governor port... although I think the red wouldn't do anything.

Yeah whatever you, never ever apply power to port 456!

Default 0 value for mah consumed

I have telemetry reading for VFAS working but even after a flight the mah consumed is still 0. I am not using the Brain 2 governor. Is the rpm sensor from the HobbyWing esc required to be connected to the Brain 2 in order to determine mah used? Any other ideas?

I don't know if it's necessary but I joined the second Rx power with the yellow for gov and plug into the gov port. For the signal from the esc I juste take a servo wire with only one wire from signal of the esc to port 5 in the ikon. I juste move my wire to center for port 5. I also use the the spm4649t Receiver telemetry into port 3. In the ikon you need to select the proper esc telemetry you use and in the diagnosic select what you want. The only thing you need in the transmitter is put 10. In the ratio for rpm and esc. Hope this help
