I would like to let you guys know. On my T-Rex 500, yesterday I switched over from FM2 to FM4. The heli now flies a bit more stable and I like it very much! Although I think the difference is much greater but I have only flown two flights with FM4.
As some of you guys probably know in the beginning I had some problems with the flight charactiristics with the CGY750 on my T-Rex 500. The roll rates and such where insane. I really needed to switch FM2 and also changed my ANG.Rate (advanced menu) for ALE and AIL to 90% to make it less nimble. Before that is was way to twitchy for me. What did I do to improve this.
THERE IS ONLY ONE PROBLEM LEFT With hard pitch pumps. The heli does not go straight up and down. Like AIL on one side is a bit to late. My T-Rex 550 also has this behavior, but not that noticable. I don't mind.

If you found the heli too twitchy, why did you reduce the expo?

I did lower the ANG.Rate first to give it less cyclic pitch of course. With that default high EXPO the cyclic range is not linear. I don't like that at all. I find -40 or -30 a bit to much for my preference. See it like this, with a flybar model I always used to start at 0 and change that value only when needed.

Someone tried the Function-Constant Delay Mode into AIL or ELE Expert menu? What will be the diference between them?

I'm not exactly sure as to the exact definition but i believe it has to do with how the heli responds based on speed...when in function the faster you go the faster the cyclic is while constant seems to keep it consistent. For me the setting it to Function made my heli insane...too hard to control for me. I'm hoping someone will explain the difference between Rate.Cst and Function/constant

Hi Joe, I found something in the cgy750 manual on the rudder expert settings. The manual says that constant delay mode will be more linear and more agresive than function but i´m not sure if that definition apply for ail and ele too....

Anyone have any experience with the sensor mode settings in the expert menus? The one that lists moderate, quick, and middle. Default is moderate.
Could this be that it controls response speed? The manual says it selects the response of the gyro sensor signal. Any insight? I have been having trouble getting the tail of my 600 pro to stop shaking after a control input. Stop boosting and stop delay haven't helped at all. Tail linkages are free, heli has about 10 flights on it. Tail gain set at 68% |

I see your explanations about AVCS.Dmp and resolution in cgy750 (and vbar) ....and I see you also use msh brain....so I believe you could help me with msh brain feeling, for me is too natural and i prefer more stabilite and robotic heli. 1) to get an increase resolution, I need decrease links of the swashplate? 2) whats the controls in msh brain is similar AVCS.Dmp? 3) you use default gains in msh brain or you increase these? Whats values you use for a 500 heli? |

I am looking at putting the CGY750 on my Trex 700E. I have a MicroBeast on it now.
Give me your honest opinion, am I making a mistake? Or will the CGY750 be a vast improvement on my Heli? THIS CGY750 will be going on a 700E Scale Body. Thanks for your opinion, Dennis |
