Camera ball turret

Hello guys

Im planing to put a gyro-stabilized camera ball turret (2axis) under my model.

Now im looking for some ideas and thoughts.

The best one ive seen so far was the flir pod from zeeflyboy on his littlebird.

If you have any idead im happy to hear them.

Well... if you can't find an STL file for something you are interested in making then your best alternative is to make your own.

Download OpenSCAD (free) and start creating. I don't know the dimensions of the ball turret in question, but I can't imagine it being too difficult to create a model for one if you have the specs in mind.

If you have any programming experience at all, OpenSCAD shouldn't be too hard to pick up quickly.

Do you have a 3D printer, or would you be going through someone like Shapeways?

EDIT: Or do a quick google search like I just did... there are at least 2 different ball turrets on Thingiverse alone. There are dozens of other sites as well...
