Default Awesome Trex 500L

I have a great recipe for a Trex 500L. I test flew it today and love it!!! I did do one modification and that was to make room for a 13T pinion. This gives me a governed head speed of 2850 in idle up 2. I was liking the setup before, but power felt a little lacking. It is fantastic and loving it now. On a side note, I am not sure why they did not set it up for a 13T pinion. The 12T is definitely underrated in a governed mode.

Looks like an awesome setup! It really is an awesome heli, and very capable. The KBDD main blades have a lot of bite and work great on this model.

I was actually pleasantly surprised by the KBDD blades. I was trying to buy a set of Rail blades, but were sold out everywhere. So I came across these for a great price and they fly great on the 500. I have a set of KBDD blades that I won at a fun fly from my 700, but I haven't tried them yet.

I could govern it a bit higher, but at 2850, it really rocks. As for blades, I typically use Rails, but they were out of stock everywhere. I am pleasantly surprised by these blades.

Dido, KBDDs on my 500L too. Look and feel just like the old Mavrikk G5s
Always perfectly balanced and nice finish.

They are actually made with the mavrikk molds, but with different weight and CG specifications to enhance the flight characteristics.

That makes a lot of sense. I was thinking they were from the mavrikk molds, but I can tell they fly better. I have a set for the 700 that I won at a fun fly, but haven't tried them yet.

Found the same for my ProDFC. The 12 tooth is just too low for running your Gov. in the sweet spot.
From memory , Align didn't have a 13T so had to go elsewhere for it. Think Lynx was the only one available at the time.

That is what I did, had to use a Lynx pinion. I am wanting to switch m ESP to the 134t gear, but the 14t pinions are out of stock.

I drilled out the mount. Slotting the frame is a bad idea, slotting aluminum much better.

Definitely cheaper to do the mount eh ?
If a guy did go too far on the frames or not straight on all 4 holes
Would not be so good doing it that way

Well guys thanks for the info appreciate it alot
