I bought the XFX 450 on sale and used my Banggood points so it came to $48 shipped. There are two different versions shipping, the one with the yellow canopy and comes with a free battery and a multi colored canopy with no battery.
I got the one with multi color canopy and no battery...the problem is the canopy does not fit the heli...its far too narrow and rubs on the main gear.
I sent BG a picture of the problem and they refunded $5 for this.
Then I noticed the tail belt was VERY loose...not flyable loose, and it appears that the tail belt tension is not adjustable. So this is a paper weight till I figure that issue out. Im hoping the solution is to buy an Align tail belt.

I wouldnt have even bothed sending BG an email. its a $55 heli. canoppys on the clones tend to be mishaped. Heat it up with a hair drier and reshape it

Did it come already built??? tear it down and rebuilt it.

As for the tail you can retenshion the belt, you usually just hae to loosened the scerws on the boom block, pull the tail out and retightent he screws with fresh loctite.

Has anyone purchased 450 Trex clone parts from Banggood? Saw som fiberglass 450 blades at a sub $5 price. They looked great but unsure of the quality.

Thanks,

Greg

The canopy was no where near fitting....no hair dryer would have fixed this....the two sides had to be bent very far apart to even attempt to get the body grommets to fit to where the body mount posts...I'm sure this canopy was not even made for a T-rex. I bought a canopy off ebay and it fit perfectly.

Default XFX 450

Just stumbled on this and my mind is totally blown.

I wouldn't want to be within a half mile of that heli flying. I can only assume whoever mounted the skids backwards like that has never even seen a helicopter before in their life, let alone ensured all the other parts were assembled correctly and thread lock on the critical parts.

Danger! Please get hands on help from someone with experience. I don't want anyone hurt.

yeah, i run the yellow/white fiberglass blades from BG, they are pretty decent for sport flying.
