Thanks bud. I don't know why more people don't post flight videos in this thread? I love paging thorugh these types of threads before I buy a new heli.

Here's one of mine back at the beginning of October at the Ice House Fly-in @ Apache Pass.

It was also my first time ever to night fly.
What a rush. Can't wait for the next opportunity to night fly

Mike Martin, PROTOS MAX V2, NIGHT FLIGHT@ICE HOUSE (4 min 42 sec)

Get a mobius.

Or if you want to stick with a go pro like camera, get this:
http://www.gearbest.com/action-cameras/pp_153556.html

The brand is little known to us, but in Asia is the biggest cell phone manufacturer. They recording chip inside it and the newest gopro are the same. But you pay a lot less!

For the money it might be worth a shot. Do you know if with shoot in "narrow" FOV. Thats a lot of my issue with gopro is that it only shoots in wide which makes filming helis harder.

I'm not sure bud. But on youtube you'll find a bunch of videos with it and it appears that it does really well for rc.

I have the mobius and am happy with it as well because it is lightweight. But picture with a gopro or xiaomi is better.

By the way, Xiaomi makes a lamp called the milamp, that thing is amazing. It's a bluetooth lamp, when you have a newborn, it really comes in handy.

I got the GoPro 3+Black and it has narrow as well as as mid and wide field of vision.

It all depends on the frame rate that you choose to record in.
To typically record in 1440 narrow at 60fps then use the GoPro editor and sharpen the video up and convert it to 1080p at 60fps.
This is the best I've found with my 3+Black.

I've got a friend that has the GoPro 4 Black and it's got mine beat hands down.
That one will record 2.7k at 80 or 100fps (can't remeber which) but then when you convert it to 1080p at 60fps the picture is incredibly crisp and clean.

Knowing how good the 4 Black is I wouldn't waist money on anything less for filming 3D heli flight with as far as an action cam goes.

That being said if you don't mind holding it in your hands you can't beat the latest Samsung Note or IPhone videos. The cameras on our phones are amazing how good the quality of video can be from them.

I don't understand why the action cam's can't compete when they are specialized in just that and our phones have to work about a thousand other things as well.

Nice flying!!!!! I really dig flying down low to the ground..
You got it tuned in and moving much faster than a person would expect to see out of 1700 headspeed

Thanks bud!

I'm pretty sure it's well above 1700rpm. In four minutes I'm at 3.8v on the batteries flying like that.

I like the low stuff too, until the ground creeps up on me!

Right, i'm leaning more towards that, You can pay for quality. I Shouldn't have skimped when i bought my first (white) gopro

Nice flying kthane, might wanna aim your camera a bit lower I missed the auto.

Here's mine out today, first overspeeds on video with her and man does this heli get loud!!

This heli is on Cyclone 715/115's 1950 rpms on Red dampers and ALL stock brain settings with the tail speed increased a little using 700 as the size and 3D for presets. Someday I may tune it but really don't feel the need to.

Msh Protos Max V2 Overspeeds (4 min 17 sec)
