Default So what is the pronunciation of "Evoluzione"?

I hear everyone pronouncing it as if it was French. Since MSH is Italian I always envisioned a stereotypical Italian with his hand in the there for emphasis, "Ev-o-lu-ZI-o-nay". I hope that spelling makes it clear.

What do you guys say?

You know you are saying it right when it sounds like a tasty pasta dish.

Wasn't there already a helicopter named Evo? Maybe the Evolution Models name for the Rush?

Experience is something you gain only after you need it.
I wouldn't mind social media so much if it didn't involve people.

I suggest we ask HighFreq to end this by uploading a clips with the 'real' Italian pronounciation and then we can only attempt to get it right ))

we need more italian spirit , google seems to dull (not wordy of the looks of the Evolutione)
more accent

https://www.google.be/webhp?sourceid...ian+evoluzione

That is why I don't like to call it the Evo. It was the ALeeS Rush Evo originally. Then changed to Evolution Helicopters. I will call this one the Evolucheeonay as it was pointed out earlier. Has a nice ring to it.

When you say Evoluzione, it has to be said with an attempted Italian accent. (-:

Anyway I'm glad there is no evolution preset In the brain software, because you Americans would dear to butcher the translation of this Italian sexy name :p

The French would too, but they would make it a 3 word name
The Germans would make is sound like an order...

I think a pretty GOOD pronunciation (especially as it's by a male voice) is: How To Pronounce evoluzione.

It's not that hard... the ending "e" a short one, as in "bet" not an "ay" as in "hay".

For the Leggero, How To Pronounce leggero is a good start, the double G is a "J" sound.

Paolo

PS: I'm currently in Italy on holiday, so the incorrect pronunciation of Italian words stands out.

So if you are in Italy Paolo just ask some people to read it. Then we will finally know. I still feel like everyone is pronouncing it incorrectly.

Those pronounciations are correct (I'm italian)...
Good training...
PS: waiting for the SUPER LEGGERO version, like Lamborghini did on their supercars...SUPER LEGGERA; in this case you have A at the end because car (macchina) is female in italian, "elicottero" is male...

I'm of Italian extraction and know how to pronounce them. Now I'm back in Italy after a few decades, I've been polishing up my Italian and people remark on my lack of accent - if I have one, they say I'm from Florence!

With such a marvellous machine, it seems to me a disservice to NOT pronounce the names as best one can. They are Italian super machines with Italian names... We've learnt to say Ducati, Ferrari, Maserati, Lamborghini, (even Moto Guzzi) more or less correctly (even for Americans - only a "playful" dig ).

I just think, Protos, Evoluzione and Leggero should be added to the list!

Plus, won't it be COOL to be at the field and KNOW how to pronounce your machine's name correctly?

Paolo

PS: if there IS a Super Leggero (as Luca suggests), the pronunciation is:
How To Pronounce Super.
The "ER" is like "air" not like "her".

PPS: Just in case you'd like to pronounce the other super machines correctly, Just pop the names into the search bar at the top of the link for "Super".

Enjoy!
