The DURALITE RegulatorTM is designed to operate on input voltages from 5 to 12 volts. It is the 'Switching Style' type regulator (ie. not linear) with surface mounted electronic components and a large heat sink. Rated at 7.5 amps but tested at 10 amps with full F filter in and out delivering highest performance. Specifically designed for use with the DURALITE PLUSTM Battery but also works well with other battery chemistry types.
