Default DSM2 Satelite question

Greetings all..
Im currently setting up my oxy 3, using a standard MSH brain FBL unit,
My radio im using is a 6 year old DX6I, and a dsm2 satellite.
Never had any problems wiith the radio, anyway when i bind my radio to the satellite, the orange light has a continuous slow blink, on my dsmx satellite i have a solid orange light. Is this correct wiith the dsm2 satellite or not?? Very frustrated with this whole set up right now.
any help would be greatly appreciated

Thanks Mike

The DSM2 sats usually only blink if there is a signal loss and recovery.

Sats should stay solid led lit all the time. DSM2 will blink if a power loss is detected. This typically happens when you change packs while leaving the TX on, so the system gets tricked into thinking there was a power loss at the sat because well...... there was It won't happen if you power cycle the radio when the pack gets changed.

DSMX sats do not behave the same way due to how DSMX works and the sats stay lit at all times, however if your old DX6i is not DSMX capable, it will bind with the DSMX sat in DSM2 mode anyway.
