Default Swash Plate Vibes

Hey everyone,

I'm finishing up my 5.5 build and I've run into an issue that I can't seem to fix. On hard negative collective movements the swash vibrates down the main shaft (this is when everything is static). It's almost like it's binding, releasing, then binding rapidly again. This causes vibrations so strong the the blades actually resonate. With the servo linkages removed the swash slides easily with almost no resistance.

Current thoughts:

Bad servo
Alignment issues with links
Flybarless/servo setup up issue

I've tinkered with the above and have gotten nowhere.

Any thoughts?

My build:
Stock motor
Talon 120HV
Savox cyclic and tail
Brain FBL
Pulse 7s 4500
Spectrum DX7 and two sats
It might be important to note it's a used airframe

Thanks,
Zach

First check the swash.... ( it spins freely )and the main shaft. ( make sure the swash goes smoothly up and down the main shaft ) in all cyclic movements.
Then check all the links and make sure there smooth with the swash..
then check with the servo's moving it up and down

just keep adding part by part and check each step. until you start to feel a problem...

if you see nothing and feel nothing then go back though your Brain / Ikon setup with the new firmware update... There were some problems with the update firmware with the Brain / Ikon 1after the bail-out changes.....

Make sure the savox servo's are getting the power they need... they have been known to be a little power hungry.

KEEP US POSTED !!!!!

Got the maiden in earlier today! The swash was smooth all the way around (had an extra that came with the airframe, it was fine too). I took all the linkages and put them back to the recommended lengths (they were way off). This did a lot for the problem, enough for me to be confident maidening it. Geometry causing friction? Either way she flew awesome today. Doing great on the stock Brain settings, with 7s the ESC and batts come down at room temp. Thanks for the advice though!
