YOu can flash it without hooking up anything else but the power wires to the ESC.

Need help have connection with esc its version 14.8 how in the heck do I pick a lower version? Am I looking for hex file? Can someone just give me a link or the knowledge on how to pick the ver to flash my mcpx to ver12.2?

Dont panic lol so you have found the cause of your issues

The hex files are built into the blheli suite.

Just open BLHeliSuite software. After reading or esc onto the software. Click flash other then choose the 12.2 fw version. All the fw versions are buit in I will then flash your esc with 12.2. Your esc will then arm and the motor will spin up

I have bl heli suite v16 something and I'm all new to this thanks so much for your help seriously! 😁anyway when that pops up I don't see 12.2 I just see other stuff,is there another name synonymous with it? Like is there a name next to 12.2? I'm working all weekend but will try to look at it again here. Thanks so much lol

Ok my bad, that way you have to be able to search your pc to find the hex file.

So click flash blheli

Then a box opens up

On the right there is a firmware revision yours should say 14

Below it is a drop down box click it. Choose 12.2 version

Then click ok and flash the esc

After it will ask if you want to write the current settings to the esc if you are happy then don't it you made changes then do

So the fix will be to connect to everything flash heli button then it will pop up with options ? I'll try it in the morning when I get off work! Thanks for your help

Thanks I haven't had the time yet I'm in the middle of working 3 12 hour night shifts lol but will post when I get back to it. I'm hoping all I do is flash it then I can find a older version, what's silab and amtel boatload? Do I need to mess with any of that?

Just flash v12.2 or earlier is all you need to do.

I was wondering I really don't know or understand how this whole program works and was wondering is there a link that I know of that explains it all, I've looked around here and found it very confusing especially going through hundreds of threads to find out info? It seems all the threads deal with quad copters? Believe me I've googled a lot! Lol Thanks for your help .

Are you referring to the settings in the blheli suit? It is possible to find screen shots of what people are using there in the mcpx bl conversion section but it will take time to find it. A lot of it is trial and error. Make sure you take a snapshot of your screen then you can go back to default settings anytime. Then you can adjust things and see how it flies or if you prefer it or not. Something's have to remain the same such as the signal type, the gearing etc. But you can try gov mode and set certain head speeds for different IU or F-mode switches. Thanks buddy! Perfect yeah I was referring to the drop down box for silab boot loader what ever a boot loader is, but awesome idea I will take a screen shot, I didn't want to mess with it before I knew more, lol
