I'm actually interested in trying one of these. Hopefully the FBL is improved... I didn't like the feel of the first 150 at all. Flew like 3GX

I bet you never flew a 3G then that came out before the "X" version... now that was horrid. I had one on my 450X that got replaced with an Ikon V1.

I'm surprised you were able to fit the 3G on a 450

I would wait! I'm having issues with the main board after only 5 flights Plus the setup to a DX8 wasn't very clear. Align should take a few pointers from Blade and make it more simple!!! Now to deal with Align customer service and I'm not looking forward to that I will say that the 1st 3 flights was fun and that the heli seemed powerful and locked in and adjusting the heli with the IPhone was cool!

Well -- darn i really hoped this would be a successful launch by a great company.

I was really looking forward to purchasing one of these.....so many goofy problems. Align has put out a "needs development" model again. Thought they would have learned by now that the models have to be easy to set up, fly well and be reliable.....if you crash and burn then the price to fix should be reasonable.

Guess i will wait for the next small model to come out by someone else. I have used the small blade that worked until the board broke. Either 30 bucks to fix the board or 65 bucks to replace it. The model cost 99 bucks.....what does that say.....?

I just so want a small model to fly around the room in my house for extreme perspective hovering practice.

Oh well the promise was fun a few months ago. Glad i did not buy one and suffer the pain to make it fly for align.

Default Easy to Fly

Hi Guys

I am a new heli guy and am looking at the 150x.

My question is, how easy is it to fly?

Dial down the rates and add expo, it's very easy to fly.

The 150x is definitely Not for someone newer to cp helicopters.
Get the Xk k110 instead. it's alot cheaper and it's also s-fhss. The 150x crash cost are not cheap.

I disagree. With the app you can set the heli for beginner mode, which tames down the rates, and it has self level, same as what blade calls "safe". I think it's a good step up from quads or fixed pitch into cp helis.

I'm just sayin for someone new it might be a little overwhelming , and the power on the 150x for someone just starting off on microhelis (and no offense to the original poster ) is an accident waiting to happen .
I would recommend the XK K110 or the K100 rtf . They are more crash resistent and cheaper to repair also

Yes I agree it's not for absolute micro heli beginner. The problem is power, not the stability.

The power is too much compared to smaller 1s heli like nano cp or the first version of mcpx. I'm not a beginner but I am still afraid of flying 150X in my little apartment even in auto-level mode. I once hit it against a cupboard and another time the blades touched some clothes and it crashed bad and scared my wife. Too much power so beginner should be very careful. It's OK to fly outdoors for beginner though.

I Agree with you .
I would only fly outdoors with the 150 or basically anything with 2s power .

I bought one last week and after a problem with unit not initializing I found that the throttle has to be spot on.other problem with Bluetooth is remember to switch nearby Bluetooth off then mine connects perfectly. As for flying I am not a 3d flyer but compared to previous experience with 150 this is a world of difference, very stable in wind love the phone setup and adjustment. hit a tree then had to drop in grass just put down and fly again no damage am going to have fun with this little bird especially when indoor flying at my club starts for the winter
