I'll second that. When first starting out it's good to have something you don't have to repair much, that can make a big difference especially without the aid of a sim or instructor. It gets frustrating when you have to do repairs every time you crash. The bigger the heli the more repairs.
Once you get into the larger sizes a crash can even require a re-kit. In other words it can be cheaper to buy a new kit than buy the parts required for repair. Totaling a heli can be really discouraging and it can still happen even after you have a good amount of experience.
That's not to say you shouldn't buy a bigger heli now if you want, especially if you can get a deal. Just wait until you have a little experience under your belt before flying it so you don't crash easily.
