Default K110 new design?

I decided to put dirtbath to pasture and just got my new 2nd K110 in the mail today and the box was different compared to the first K110. Different canopy Paint , wider stance landing gear. and the board is now held with 2 really sponge like tape.

Maybe im wrong but it does look like little subtle changes XK is doing .

I'd be interested in knowing if the tail boom/motor is different. Some were reporting getting a wrong replacement part so I wonder if it's what is being used on the newer design.

Can't say I like "Made in China" etc plastered on the top of the canopy. I see it still says "borken" instead of broken on the blade warning.

I have enough spare parts to keep mine going for a long long time.

i'll check on the tail . It's a sticker, i haven't removed it yet . Maybe ill keep it to tape the canopy back together when needed , and if it don't say "Borken" then i dont want em

Mine has acquired some vibes now. Snapped the swash back together and it stopped vibrating for awhile but now it's doing it again and trying to figure it out. Still Flys but annoying. When it's flying correctly it's amazing and a lot of fun

Probably time for a new swash and bearings. I looked in my bag 'o parts and I have a few. It's part # SKU261752-1Y1Q0 PCK

I always thought borken blades sounded Swedish

Maybe it's the main shaft bearings, the only thing I didn't swap out with my 2nd xk110 trying to diagnose the vibes. Main shaft inst bent so if figured the bearings were good. I'll give that a try thanks

Hey. I was thinking that but little concerned with weight, is there a noticeable difference?

Ya Idk if I want to go that heavy though, good price no doubt . I just got in from flying k110 no. 2 and she was flying sweet. I did notice on bird no. 1, while pushing on the main shaft there seemed to be more play in there so i went and ordered some up. I am extremely happy with this bird

The K110 is S-fhss and i think the jr Xg11 is dsm ?
Get the K110 bnf and you can get a T6J pretty cheap if you dont like the x6 that comes with the rtf package. The K110 actually pays for itself for all that you can learn on it, and sooner or later your going to have at least 2 radios . I tried to just stick with models that i can fly with my DX9 ,meaning spektrum and horizon/Blade products. I have to admit that i have not even been interested or flown other blade micros since i have the K110.
My DX9 i use with sats and msh Brain on my 470 and 450
I hope this helps .
I think it would be cool if we could have a HeliFreak award for such company's . XK would definitely get the HeliFreak award of excellence for the K110

I am actually transitioning to futaba because I like SBus with brain. You can usually pick up a futaba 10J for pretty cheap. It's a pretty good radio and can do telemetry and can s-fhss. The one thing that annoyed me with the X6 radio is there is no timer.

The only heli I won't be able to change over is my blade 230s which is a shame since it actually flies pretty good.
