Default Discontinued ncpx servo

I posted this in another thread, but I thought it was worth starting a new thread on this topic.

I noticed that the 38 mm lead nano servo (SPMSH2026L) has been discontinued and my LHSs can no longer order it.*

Does anyone know if the cps servo (SPMSH2028L) can be used as a direct replacement? Do the mounting holes/screws line up? Has anyone experimented with other options?

I'm pretty sure the mounting holes are the same.

Great, thank you! Not much room to mod the servo so that it will fit..... I was beginning to wonder if this was the start of 'the end' for the nano cpx part - wise.

.....has anyone successfully tried a cps servo on the cpx? Aside from the connector and lead are they the same? ?

I saw on another post that the cps servos fried when used/connected to the cps. Can anyone confirm? Any mods that can made to make this work?

Servos should be the same aside from better insulated and longer wires on the CPS variation. This was because the board went from vertical on the CPX to horizontal on the CPS.

Yes the wires are longer and seem thicker, however the connectors are different as well.

I don't mind soldering (have even swapped out the surface mounted gyro), but aside from the wires/connectors electronically are they the same?
