I really wish Align would make the threads on the threaded balls a little longer. The nut barely fits on the control horn (actually had to shave a control horn due to not enough thread poking through), and I can't lighten my blade grip ball due to it 'stripping' because it only goes in like 2 threads.

Easy fix for that, get the break away servo horns. They are nice and thin.

I didn't even use the nuts, mine were not long enough so I put the balls in CA before screwing into the plastic

Yep, and a feathering shaft wrench would be nice.

Second flight the right aileron servo ball ripped out of the hole. Luckily not too much damage but I would not recommend anyone using without the backing nuts. I shaved the back of the horn a bit with my dremel enough so the nuts would catch the thread. I feel much more assured about it now

See the vídeo of assambly for 470 by enterprise hobby. There are not reason to shave de servo horn, the nut screw in enough, the rest is done by the locktite. About 300 flights and count
