Default Tail Not holding.. probably mechanic..

My Triabolo with tri-tail was flying great at 1500hs, whatever I throw, I had it at 10.5* pitch and 10* ele, With a 18T. Have the red tail pulley and 110mm tail blades.
Whanted more agresiv to do some maneuvers, so I change it to 13* pitch, and 20T, so I can run at 1770hs.
Tail is not holdin on pitch ups the nose turns left and it turns like 90* then return the were it was, and when doing fast stop the tail blow and does not hold...
I try playing with the gyro sensitivity but no help..
Should I move the ball link on the tail servo in (close to servo) or out?
The only mod I did was change pinion / pitch and HS.

Also change from HW160 to Scorpion Tribunus... could it be the internal GOV

NHP 110mm Tail blade with the tri-tail and red pulley

FBL is Spirit Pro,

Tail Servo: Savox SB-2283MG

Dimension: 40.3x20.2x38.7mm
Weight: 69g
Rated Voltage: 6.0 - 7.4V
Operating Speed:
@6.0V: 0.06 sec°/60
@7.4V: 0.048 sec°/60
Torque:
@6.0V: 69.4 oz-in (5.0 kg-cm)
@7.4V: 138.9 oz-in (10.0 kg-cm)
Gear: Metal
Bearing: 2BB

The strange thing is tat when it was on the 18T pulley at 10.5*'and 1500HS, it holds just fine when I incrise thenpitch and HS to 1770, it blow the tail, also since in change the ESC maybe the internal GOV is not responding fast enough to demand and is not acceleration to regain HS

A little strange since you usually gain tail hold when you raise the headspeed so you don't need to increase tail gain.

Since you added hs and pitch it might be a little too much for the tail to handle with your current settings. Did you try raising tail gain a couple/few points?

IŽll have to check the letter the log on the HS, since the only thing that comes in mind is that when I go full pitch the HS drop significant and the tail loose authority since it turns the nose to the left, and when it regain the HS it also regain authority... in the matter of setup in the FBL I try pretty much everything that alowsmy to...

Because if i go full throttle smoothly it will hold just fine. is more on the agresiva side that the tail loose authority..

I have tried 13 deg collective on mine at 1800. It holds just fine. It must be your Gyro settings.

Having said that, 13 degrees is really not needed with the NHPs. The recommended 10.5 is ballistic at that head speed. Check out vids of Miles beating the *%#! Out of it with just 10.5 and 1800. 👍

Hou mentioned its loosing head speed on those pitch pumps. If so then thats the explanation. Loss of head speed makes the tail kick out.

Make sure the motor and esc can handle the collective pitch as aggressive pitch pumps.

Try to increase the ESC gov gain.
You could also try the spirit gov.

On my 700/Neo/Tribunus

I had to just about double my collective pre comp to eliminate the same effect.

Yep i had to double my pre comp for tail but also after comp is added i turned on heli and re did tail linkage so it was 90 this is with precomp. Other wise it would be all wacky. So basically tail is set up mechanically and pre comp can perform without being stopped at either ends of throw...tail holds perfect now

Still - loss of head speed = tail speed down. Make sure the governor settings on ESC compensate for the extra push. Three bladed main head requires a bit more power increase to compensate quick for head speed loss. So you need to compensate in the governor settings. Possibly even switch from ESC governor to the FBL system.
