Default Align metal clutch block HN7087 problem

I bought this mount a while back for my 700N since the plastic mount ended up breaking. The machining is not right. It grabs the bearings too tightly and causes them to become notchy or seize up when you close the two halves. This in turn causes excess vibration and the top bearing for the starter shaft basically seizes up and there's wear on the shaft from spinning in the seized bearing.

Both the smaller bearing up top for the starter shaft and the two that the pinion sits on get notchy/seized. I've put several new bearings and it's just plain too tight and killing them. I finally tried to sand the areas where the bearings sit and STILL it's too tight.

Align or Enterprise - what should I do here? I don't want to order another one just to find out it's doing the same thing.

I'm sorry your having an issue with it. I've had a few over the years and never had the issue your describing. Have you reached out to where you purchased it and see if they will issue a replacement? Seems like something just happened to be off on the one you received.
