Default Alternative skids for Goblin 500

Just purchased a s/h 500, and any one that has followed my previous builds, knows I don't think much of factory skids, just too narrow for my pocket to risk. Any one tried wider skids on these. From what I can find there is the Align 700x skids which will lift the back of the heli a bit as well, I'm guessing they will zip tie to the cross members (this saves broken skids in a bad landing). SAB also do a plastic skid for their Nitro versions, they might fit with a bit of fiddling, but ohhh.., the price.

Also thinking of putting the sports tail fin on it, the stock one looks very weak to me. I think it will bolt on as a replacement as the other part numbers match between the 500 and the 500 sport.

Stock skids are horrible, I used broken 550 blades to make my own skids. 10x stronger than the original

Goblin 570 skids bolt right on after trimming about a 1/4" off the front mount for canopy clearance. Believe they are still cheaper also.
