Default "Old School" Turbine flying again

Decided to do some "Old School" Turbine flying today..
Broke out the Intrepid Turbine with the Wren MW54 Heli engine...
We've been so busy with other projects that I simply haven't flown this in at least 3 years...
Checked the Batteries (replaced one with a defective cell), Fueled it up with Kero AND Propane (yes THAT old school ), and damned if she didn't fire right up...
Flybarred, 401 Gyro with 9254 servo, DS 8311 servos, Duralite batteries, Propane start...
Now to figure out why I quit flying it...

It's nice to see something like that. If you ever get a chance to do some video of it please share. We hardly get to see a more modern turbine fly.

Just got my Intrepid Gasser out and serviced ...hoping to fly her tomorrow again after a 3-year layoff from helis.
All that was needed was a clean-out of the tank, replace fuel-lines and change-out of the primer-bulb!

.....and would really like to get my MW-54 equipped INTREPID TURBINE sorted out this year!

Have no Idea what took me this long!

I need to get my turbine back up in the air as well. Finances took a big hit with 3 kids in college at the same time and it'll be a bit before I can dig out far enough to replace battery packs and regulator and buy a can of fresh fuel.

I still have two cans of turbine oil Chris gave me at IRCHA 2010.
