Would like longer flight time, what battery to use?

I am currently using Pulse 1350mah 11.1 3s battery which gives me about 4 minutes... this was good while I have been learning to use it.

I would like more flight time... 6 - 10 minutes, so what kind of battery can I purchase to achive this flight time?

I know the bigger the battery the heavy it gets as well COG will change.

I am not doing 3D flying.

You are better off buying more batteries similar to your current ones if they balance well, buying much bigger batteries can spoil how the heli flies.

Its not going to work that well on stock electronics, motor have hard time enough with the RPM from a 3s pack, but it can be done pretty cheap... Gear for similar RPM (1.3mah 4s pack) and you'll get about the same flight time as a 1800mah 3s pack would...

So getting a larger mah 3s 11.1v battery will not give me more flight time?

I'm using Turnigy Graphene 1300's, and get 10mins.

My stock esc quit, and currently using a HK AE-30, but it's giving problems.

Gonna try a HK YEP-40 esc, and see what happens, as well as monitor run times.

i put a 2200 3s on my 300 cfx for long flight, just can not use canopy.

the COG is so far rear on 300 cfx the 2200mah make it perfect. talk about a bad design.

Just to weigh in..I`m using Floureon 11.1 2200 mah getting 8 min with a stock 35 esc out of a 450 3d...25esc not enough with all metal servos.

Yes it would... it just would be easier to fit a 1300mah 4s pack then a larger 3s pack
