Default The "One Video Per Week" Thread. BEE RELATED ONLY

Ok guys....i think i've come up with a good idea....with all of us having access to video stuff more and more...there are a lot of threads where good video's are shown..but get buried...so i came up with this idea...

Let's make this thread a video contribution thread..one where all of us can post videos and the rest of us can come back and see what was new...and not have to scroll through a ton of other threads..

obviously we'll all still post video's in our own threads for help and fun...but let's have one place where we tape our "Bee's" (and anothing else R/C related) we can post here and have a cool archive of video's to watch on those days we're at work and bored (like I am all the time!)

so..to Hankster...who took up my call to video stuff with GUSTO! OD, VL, 350, Bugster, and to everyone else who has a hat cam..and understanding wife or neighbor...grab those cams and get to work! One video per week of anything R/C from each one of us is the goal (more if possible!)...even if it is 12 seconds of test flight disaster, or 10 minutes of wonderous flight..let's do it! I want to laugh..i want to cringe..i want to see it all!

I'll start us off....due to hankster cranking out the sparkler and rocket video's..i used my software at home to get my flight yesterday que'd up and edited..

watch the bushes to the left at the beginning of the flight to see the wind i was dealing with

[ame]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=np8B_FOA4Pc[/ame]

I LOVE how the blades look when i fly over him and you can see the paddles and everything...looks sick!

ok guys...one video per week! DO IT!

Dan

another one from me..this one is dedicated to HeliHankster ....for you bud...not nearly as good as yours..but you were the inspiration for sure! i trie to make the 3 foot long ones work..but my Bee couldn't lift them..so these 12 second cheesy ones were all i had..and no one had bottle rockets

I’m using the keychain cam. I‘ve had it for a couple of weeks…Once I saw your video thread I decide to give it a try. It’s still a work in progress, but can’t complain it only took about 20 minutes to mount.

Material list

¼ piece wood
Styrofoam
Double sided tape
Velcro

Here a few pictures

I was doing some more thinking on the mount…I will ether cut the ¼ mounting wood down to reduce weight or replace it with a paint mixing stick which is a lot thinner

A Paint mixing stick might be the way to go.....mmmmm

A large Popsicle would be the best. It just needs to be long enough to clear the canopy and skids.

Sweet vid…The A-10 looks awesome in the air. I really liked the barrel rolls. I just have one question…What happen to the landing?

landing was ok..but my front landing gear was already weak from the original crash..so it folded up again...gotta figure out something to fix or re-enforce it...

Damn drunken videotaper!!!

Don’t ask me why…but a popsicle comes to mind for fixing the landing gear problem.

Once you feel better and are walking around. You need to take a vid of one of your planes landing straight towards the camera…that would be sweet.

wish i could fix it with a popsicle stick but it is a metal wire steerable nose gear...not fixable with wood

yes it would be cool looking...but no one will volunteer to stand in front of them! lol!

JMD, this is a great idea but being a heli site, we have the off topic thread for posting anything we like that isn't to do with Bee's. Maybe we need a thread with the heading, "Off topic flying video's" where all our vids are posted that aren't about our Bee's. Bee video's should be posted in their own thread, but if you want to post something else that flies but isn't a Bee, it will go in there' I don't wish to appear a stick in the mud but we need to keep this forum on track. That ok with everyone?

2 x Nano heli's - now passed on to Megan, HoneyBee V1.....Awaiting test flight, T-Rex 250 V1, Hitec 5084MG tail servo, DX6i, Walkera 4#3A (it's in fairly good hands Bugster).

simpliest setup most of us are using is a keychain cam that are sold on ebay for like $9 - and some velcro glued to the top of it and some on a hat..really simple and cheap...

example..

http://cgi.ebay.com/Mini-Spy-Hidden-...item255b2761c9

then you just need a memory car..2gb ones are like $6..
