It's pricey... but it's as good as they come.

The one from fbl rotors also has locating holes for nitro or electric that allows you to set correct height

I just received mine from FBL rotors, but it came without the pin. Machining quality looks poor too - notches on top part of the tool, hole where the main shaft inserts doesn't look well-machined.

I tried calling FBL rotors but keep reaching their voicemail. Do all tools come without a pin? It's in the pictures...

This was for the old heads to locate the separate swash driver mount on the main shaft. Not used on the newer monolithic designs.

I'm sad to say that this looks like false advertising to me - $45 for a swash plate leveler that works the same way as any other swash leveler for $10 - can't set swash height, terrible machining quality, no pin like in the pics and no response from customer service... I haven't opened mine up and will just ship it back for a refund. Disappointed.

Sorry to hear you're disappointed. I haven't seen any with bad machine work, I'm sure Ralph would replace it without hesitation. His service really is top notch, though he has been very busy lately and is on the road a lot. He will help you out for sure. He's a stand-up guy. All of his parts are small batch machined, not mass produced, so his prices are going to be a bit high. He always takes care of his customers, though.

I really like the RD lohr zip tool ones. No need to pull the head to level the swash. Fast and accurate plus cheap cost wise, plus if it is 10mm it will fit all 10mm swash setups. So you do not need a specific one for each model.
