Yep -- I've had many of those same days and nights lately so as former president Billy would say "I feel your pain..." Yeah, just walk away at that point.

BTW, +1 on all points you mentioned about the CF frame. It's a little pricey, but you'll forget about the $ once you get it. I haven't seen a frame that's finished as nice as this one. I took some pics the day I got it and posted here:
https://www.helifreak.com/showthread.php?t=270129

Also, be sure you see Big Fil's carbon fiber frame build thread here:
https://www.helifreak.com/showthread...43#post2599943

Lots of good info in that thread.

When you take the screws/bolts out just be sure to keep track of each one's location. You'll also have to take the tail belt drive pulley (wheels) from your other frame. Note that the documentation is pretty sparse too -- because it assumes that you know that you have to put together a 600. LOL! It's actually really easy though, especially after you go through Big Fil's thread.

ElectricSheep,

Again Thanks!

I just read the whole thread from Big Fil. I gotta find out what the OD and Thickness of the counter bearing as I'm running a 5mm shaft in my Scorpion.

I see it's a 5x15x5 from the manual you posted, that I need.

Well it turns out the 600se kit does not have a bag #12, However the 500se does, so I'm not going insane. Anyway RH was right on it, and bag #12 is in the mail. Thanks RH for the Great Customer Support!!!

Looks like the carbon frame ships with both 20 and 25mm boom mounts now, got mine today.

Ordered another one and it only had the 25mm boom mounts? Might be old stock.

I bought my Logo 600SE the other day and to my own understanding this one is Carbon fiber frame. But soon i opened it i have a plastic frame. I thought it was Carbon Fiber since its stated on box LOGO 600 SE CARBON EDITION. Just wondering if the CF frame an upgrade only? or its comes with the kit?

Anyway anyone could link me to some information between the Plastic Logo600SE vs CF Logo 600SE. Will check if what suited, for AP/AV.

Do you have a link from where you got it? All I've ever seen is that it's an upgrade. Never heard of a Carbon Edition, not saying there isn't one, but I've just never seen it.

Mikados are akin to Porsches; form follows function. Bling on a Porsche is in my opinion barbaric and crude.

Is the tail issue still there - should I swap out the tail on a 500SE? I bought 86mm blades for some stupid reason - not sure whether to at least try them before buying 92mm . Think it will work?

Will be running 553s. I found a set of 95mm blades in kit. These might be a better bet than the 86mm.

I ran 86mm with my 523's, and had good results. I also like 553/95 ... that's what I'm running now. But soon I think I'll have to go to the 86's again with 553 because I'm going with a lower headblock.

Sorry if I missed it earlier but is the list on page 1 still accurate? I see that it was created a few years ago. I am thinking about getting a 600 so thanks so much for taking the time

Default ball link sized 600sx

Hi guys

I'm planning to get a log 600sx and wonder what size the ball links are. E.g. what size Ball Link Pliers do I need.
And while we are at it, what would be a good size circlips pliers?

Thanks!

Hi guys,

I'm planning to get a 600sx myself and was wondering what size the ball links are? E.g. what size Ball Link Pliers should I get?
And while we are at it, what size circlips pliers do you use for this heli?

Thanks.

Standard size links really, so any of decent quality or to your liking. The C-Clips on main shaft are 10mm spring, so base decision of set based on 10mm closed diameter.

Not to bash but..FWIW

Ugh!! I have those pliers and they are horrible quality.. The button is off center from the fork so you never get even pressure on the ball or link and they slip off. I got them to save some cash upfront but paid the price when my swash got scratched from a slip. Also the picture looks like a high quality polished machine work, don't be fooled. I'll show you pics of mine if you want.

Pony up a few more bucks for a better set if you can. You'll be glad You did in the long run. I'm buying new ones to use on my new logo.

Edit:
Just realized how old the post was, lol! You prolly already bought em..
