First flight with formula canopy and boom supports, love the way it looks. I had to sand the bottom of the canopy a bit get it to mount without force, it was contacting the landing gear on the right side. I don't like the way the boom supports mount to the frame, seems a simple bolt would be more practical I'll be picking up a couple of bolts to use instead of the studs and locknuts. Still better than the v1 supports for sure, they are also a bit longer.

Yeah, I've been contemplating removing the lover rear alu cross member. That would enable me to move the FBL unit under the main gear (more forward) for better COG. Hard to reach the dials though...

Furthermore I'm a bit keen on trying to move the tail servo onboard the frame and make a longer CF rod. Now that'd be sleek...

I wanted the vbar in my X3 so I swapped and put the sk-540 in the X2.

Also set up the sk-governor in the x2 with the hw rpm sensor.

Finalized my build. Put thread lock everywhere and got the ESC put in place.
Still waiting for my satellite rx, then a little work with the vbar and she should be ready to fly

Still considering using the AR7200BX for simplicity, then the vbar can go on my 450

Default what did you do on your X2 today?

Came out of a short inverted hover and totally lost all tail control! Hit the dirt pretty hard. The only thing I can think is the belt popped off the front pulley!

That happened to me last weekend. Turns out I lost a screw out of the tail assembly and it let go.

Haven't gotten it apart yet to see what damage there is!
I have the hsc pulley and tail shaft, but the main pulley isn't double flanged.

Is there a double flanged version of the HSC front pulley?

There is one I have seen on here. Do not know what the story is but I got mine not long ago and it did not have a double flange! I am thinking that double flange was original design and changed to single. Not sure though.

Well hsc made that bad ass pulley, a separate flange that gets loctite on would work. Im sure he can manage a simple flange

Mine has not slipped since i made the lower flange but its not that good, it works
Fine. My only concern is on spool down the main gear stops and the pulley does not, it turns with the blades. Kinda hard to explain but since it sits on the maingear it stops turning after i power down.

Finally got mine back in the air yesterday. The tail drift was caused by a loose tail rod AND a loose carbon lever - all good now

Maidened the OXY3 at the same time, interesting comparison! Totally different birds! Maybe some recall my 300X vs X2 review? I'll do a small mini review on the OXY vs X2...

Hey, please do. I have the oxy and my roommate has an x2. I like the looks of the formula x2 much more but it is smaller in all regards including parts and down to the screw sizes.

Oxy has treated me well, but then again it flys almost the same space as my x3 so it isnt that much of a smaller heli, with my flying style
