Default VBar Tail Servo - BK DS7006HV ?

Hi I am looking for a good tail servo that works well with the VBar Neo. I want to run it at 6 volts.I have been looking at the Savox SB2272MG. I was looking for a servo with speed and high torque. Does the BK DS-7006HV servo work well with the Neo ?

Got zero experience with both servos mentioned, but any dedicated tail servo works with the Neo.

go for BK 7006 is much better than the savox series u quoted...

7006 runs on 760us just to note this

have both ... sold off the savox 2272 and happy with BK7006

but i found out lately a new DS825M Align is top notch tail servo

The Align Servo looks good but I want to run it at 6 volts. It show 7.4 and 8.4 volts.

Now there are a lot of brushless tail servos that offer higher torque. I see there is the Expert R1 and Protech R270SBL.

The other one was the BK7006. It is coreless, and fast.

Maybe the MKS HBL990 is the way to go ?

I run the 7006 on my logo 550se with the full size vbar( grey line ). I've ran it at 6-8.4v and its down sides are as follows: 1. it buzzes too much under load 2. it's intialization process can be a bit funky. Sometimes I have to repower it to have it center on startup otherwise it keeps pulling to one side. I'm running a WR BEC. Beside that, the servo is nice

I've run Futaba bls251 at 6v no problem even though it's rated at 4.8.

IMHO, I would stick to Futaba or MKS.

They are plug & play.

I have some (4) Futaba BLS251 servos and was going to try them at 6 volts. I wanted to try a tail servo with more torque. On my Logo 600SE and 550SE I have had the tail kind of hunting. Mechanicaly I have gone right through them more than once. They are smooth. I don't really notice it all the time like in fast forward flight. I was testing my Logo 600SE after putting on a new VBar Neo and a new Scorpion 200-14 ESC at lower head speed and I was getting the hunting again, slight slow back and forth. It seemed to go away at higher head speed. On my Logo 550SE I have had a few times where in fast forward flight I tried to pirouette one way and it seemed to not move that way but piros the other way. I wanted to try a different higher torque servo to see if it clears up.

That 4.8v is for NiCd packs which at full charge is 6v

I've kinda wanted to try different brand myself but I have lots of bls251 and 256 servo laying around. I did notice when I went from align 1520 servo to the 760 servo my resolution went up and have had to use the longest servo horn on all my models on vbar.

I'm wondering if the is due to 760 pulse width or just something with Futaba.

from my 2c experiences. a gd tail servo barely needs any tuning once your tail limit setup correctly.. i hv used some bad tail servo such as QF tail...it was bad and requires alot tuning..i dispose it.. and got the bk7006.. its was amazing afterward
and now a ds825M align was double excellent
i wasnt worried too much about the volt...my setup was always 7.4v all the way

Can I use the Align 825M at 6 volts ? In the specs it only shows the higher 7.4 or 8.4 volts. My cyclic servos are 6 volt.

They will work at 6V, it is just that Align have specified their performance at that voltage range.

Slow wag or hunting at low rpm means the gain are not set correctly for that rpm. If a tail exhibits wipping in forward flight then it has to do with gain as well or too low a rpm for what you want to do. If you want lower rpm it is better to use longer tail blades.

The BLS 251 or 256 have served me well on ALL my 700 helicopters, never wanted more torque at all. The later model BLS251 servos ran very well at 6V and some people even ran them at 7.4V with zero problems.

The BLS 251 is a good servo. I have four of them. I have used them on all sizes of heli's just wanted to try something with more torque. May have to try longer tail blades as well for low speed. I usually have a low head speed, medium and high programmed. thanks
