Have ordered some small Walkera CP helicopters there. Everything went fine. Now I preordered a bruhsless Genius (the one I bought at WOW was not what I expected). I recommend them and will order there again.

I went to the www.tarot-rc-heli.com website and they are selling the Tarot 450 Pro V2 for $169.99. I think they are in the U.S. and this price is comparable to buying the same overseas and also paying to have it shipped. Having a distributor here in the U.S. would be great because it cuts down on the shipping time and there is a local source for kits, parts and upgrades. Also, there is someone who can answer my questions.

The website has pages for kits, parts, upgrade parts, blades and electronics. If they start carrying these also we'll have a supplier for less expensive parts!!!

I've ordered one of the 450 Pro V2 kits in silver alloy and I'll write a little more once it arrives. Can't wait!

I recently bought a Tarot 450 Pro FBL super combo from them. Their pre-sales support was good and I received the kit in about a week.

But their response subsequent to purchase has been poor. They never responded to my complaint about the damaged canopy in the kit. They have never responded to my questions re replacement parts. I'm very pleased with the Tarot kit but will not buy from oomodel.com again.

You can chat via MSN if you need something. Viki (from oomodel.com) stayed late at work for me just now cause i had some issues.
I never had better and faster response if u ask me.
I know that they don't send you an email if your order gets delayed. Although they say to do that on their page. I had to ask first. but then the service was great!

I purchased my mini cp with devo 7 from them and received it in a week and 3 days. The 3 days it spent in U.S. customs. I just ordered a few mini parts and they gave me a tracking number on the 11th but it doesnt work. I have sent them 2 emails and they say they would check. Still nothing. Little worried. But maybe it will show up at my doorstep soon.

That often happens. The left hand of USPS doesn't know what the right hand is doing. If you got a tracking number, it's on its way.

The USPS tracking system is more of a point of aggravation than it is useful more often than not because there is no guarantee it is up to date, if updated at all.

Also, asking the shipper to initiate a search is another exercise in futility as it can take up to two months for a search to be performed during which time the package will likely show up where it was supposed to, totally out of the blue.

Tracking information is useful when it is updated but too often it's not updated.

I just had another 'interesting' interchange with OOModel.

I just received notice that an order I had requested to be canceled and they had refunded the payment for, has just been shipped.

That'd be great if I hadn't already ordered and received the parts from another vendor, after OOModel had agreed to cancel the order and had already refunded the money.

I hope those parts enjoy their round-the-world tour.

[EDIT] I maybe should add that I requested the order be canceled after the parts should have already been here if not at least on their way, two weeks later and that OOModel didn't have the parts in stock that their site said they did and allowed to be ordered anyway with no notice of their stocking levels and, they didn't have any idea until Walkera was to tell them at some future date when they would have the parts. In other words, I tried to be as reasonable as possible and it still ended up a three ring circus.

I think oomodel is crap. They shipped my order without a critical part and without asking my consent. They gave me the option to receive a refund for that part, but I have already paid shipping on the entire order that I expected to include that part. It's now a month later and I'm still waiting, still bugging viki on msn everyday for an update.

Another time they told me they had an item in stock (after I asked before ordering), then I ordered it and it turns out they were out of stock. Took several days to get my 200 bucks back.

You might get lucky with them a few times, but I'd say stay away...far away.

I'd rather spend 5-10 bucks more with a reputable vendor.

I agree with bytemuncher... They are not very serious, bad service. I bought 3 servos, one was out when I receive my order, they do not send me another. I personnaly will never buy again to this vendor.

Never used them after reading a couple of threads with numerous complaints - Stating they have stuff in stock when they really don't.

I have no need to order from Oomodel, anyway, not when companies like "Miracle Mart" are around with exemplary service and after sales support.
