Default Kasama sound

I have flown my Srimok FAIFA with the original crown gear and loved the sound of the helicopter.

A sudden problem on start has sheared it, so I ordered the replacement blue stronger one.The sound now of the helicopter is terrible with the blue gear.

Could anyone who has made the switch to the metal gear report on the sound it makes with it compared to the white plastic one.

They seem to all be out of stock at Kasama uk for now but I am wondering if I should go back to the white plastic or try the metal one.

Have you checked that there's not a very thin sliver of the old white gear stuck in the teeth of the crown pinion gear?

The metal gears are super smooth piece's of art and the only noise you hear is a little jingle of the metal on spool-up. I apply a good coverage of Dry Fluid on both gears and let it dry properly. That makes them super smooth.

One major difference between stock and metal crown gears is that that the metal gear are a lower ratio. This is so you can run higher head speeds with lower tail rpms. The metal gear doesn't fail either! My Faifa is 14s and I knew exactly how to strip a crown gear, though nothing troubles the metal gears.

Puttputt maru,

The metal one is so quiet and supper smooth. I got tons of them here in stock in the USA. I think it is $50 + shipping, PayPal directly to Mr. Kasama and will ship from me in the US.
