Default Can anyone recommend good alternative ball links?

My stock ones had a lot of play from day 1. I tried the Lynx ones for the 300 CFX but the are a bit too small...

Try the ones for the Oxy 3.

Blade ball links can fit either way as a rule, which makes them a bit sloppy perhaps. Align links only fit one way, but that often means you can't get a precise half turn adjustment, say on the pitch link, which is important. You know when the ball links are too sloppy, they fall off in flight.

Hi,
Kindly give feedback how it went - using the oxy 3 links.
Was there a change in its flying behavior?

I tried the Lynx ball links for the 230/.../360 today. They fit both onto the ball (4 mm) and to the push rod (1.4 mm). However, they need a lot of treatment with a reamer to run smooth.

I also purchased the Lynx reamer for 4 mm balls. Unfortunately the reamer's ball is just a bit to small to fully do the job. So, no good combination. Maybe some grinding compound might help. But I would rather try another reamer for 4 mm balls.

I think, just get some new Blade ones and be done. I've only ever had to throw one away in the past because it was worn out, and generally everything else gets sloppy way before the links. A set of linkage arms is only a few dollars and you could change them every 100 flights if you felt the need. The swash to rotor grip links are the ones that wear the most, good luck.

Take one of your extra balls and cut a notch into it and use it as your reamer.
