Default What's in your 230 S Crash Kit...

As a beginner and currently learning ..... I am planning on soon beginning to fly my 230 S, I have been flying the 200 S.
My question is this;
What are the top three recommended spare parts or replacement items I should have readily available in my 230 S crash kit.
I will be flying mostly over grass, and will not be attempting any 3D maneuvers.
Please don't list the main and tail replacement blades, as those are a given...
I am also looking for recommendations on staying with stock or should I upgrade on the replacement parts.
Thanks...Gary

1. Boom
2. Main Gear
3. Full head assy (Repair old one for next time)
4. Frame
5. Blade Grips
6. Skids

Don't bling it much. Maybe an AL swashplate and grips.

OK...do you recommend staying with the stock skids, because to me, they don't seem as strong as the 200's.....thanks

I haven't broken mine yet. One optional thing to do is put them on with FBL tape instead of the screws while learning. It lets them come off and not transfer all the energy to the frame on a crash.

It's the double sided foam like tape holding the AR636 receiver on (Other helis it's called the FBL - Flybarless unit). You can also use 3M 4011 or 4010 tape.

The 230s crashes very well. I only been replacing main grips, tail boom, canopy and tail blades. I had about 2 big crashes learning 3D.

You say, "Don't list main blades" but in fact, they seldom break.
Main gear and tail blades are primary; boom can usually be straightened good enough, feathering shaft goes often and is hard to tell if slightly bent, so, when you can't find the vibration- start here. You'll need a frame one day, but tooth picks and Shoe Goo can delay the transfer. The all in head for 16 bucks is a good and convenient deal. In 50 crashes I've never lost servos or any electronics beyond the tail motor- when I failed to hit TH... for 4 minutes!

This is the direct from Horizon Hobby link:

https://www.horizonhobby.com/rotor-h...230s-p-blh1578

It's nice to have and you can repair the broken one for re-use and put this one on in a few minutes and be right back flying. It's what I meant by Full head assy.

I keep 2 frames 1 extra landing gear. the landing gear hasnt broke on mine yet and I have had a few real hard landings. I broke 2 frames now both twice. broke one once and glued it up then again lol.
always keep a set of blades
tail boom
2 packs of tail rotors
head assembly
I usually have a main gear
a pack of main shafts
spindles
extra swash plate
linkages
etc. if there's a possibility of it breaking I usually have 2 sets of spares for it so I don't have a lot of down time.
good luck.
like everyone said keep it totally stock.
