a few questions about Odin
Hi,
a few questions about my Odin (freshly airborn) - which dampers could I use in flybar / flybarless version ? the one I've got are a bit old and lose. - wich canopy lock do you use that can stand vibration ? - which fbl head could I use instead of original one ? thanks in advance.

"- which dampers could I use in flybar / flybarless version ?"
600 size KBDD Dampers fit perfectly. I cannot remember if the KBDD shim washer is required. My ship had the Royal Blues in it, it now has the Lime Greens. It flew with the Royal Blues with the flybar/Lime Greens as an FBL ship. "- wich canopy lock do you use that can stand vibration ?" RC Booya mounts work great! "- which fbl head could I use instead of original one ?" There was an FBL Compass head that was made for it-I have never seen one in person. I modified mine to use a 7HV head, which works great. The head height is critical to avoid issues with ground resonance. The Odin is superb with a good FBL head on it!

thanks a lot.
I have the original compass fbl head in stock, but with too old and soft dampers. I'll try the kbdd one. I am still using my first tanks to break in and get a smooth YS-91 in flybar mode, then I'll switch to flybarless when vibes will reduce. here is my fbl head (went back to flybar after first flights)

nessie,
Is it an optical illusion, or is the phasing way off?

optical illusion : phasing is ok
this old designed head needs unusual angle from swash to head. it adds a little demultiplication in swash-to-head thats allows keeping same servo-to-swash links as in flybar mode.
