fixing piro wobble and off axis pitch inputs
I have all my heli on the AR7200, but still a set up noobie.
A couple models do this, but the newest one is so bad i need to fix it. It likes to roll pretty hard left on climb outs, and right with negative pitch, and wobbles in piros. By the wording of parameter menu A, looks like this will fix. But Its sounding like this step will do nothing more than allow me to set each servo to zero pitch at mid stick or whatever. But Ive already taken this step in Menu point G. So what do I try here ? |

What method are you using to make sure the blades are level 360 at mid and the same max stick?

Menu G is for level swashbefore/0 pitch at midstick. Menu A is for leveling things throughout the pitch range.
Do agree with bad007. If everything is setup right you shouldn't need to mess with menu A. I never did on any of the 5 helis I used the 7200 on May not be perfectly level in G or possibly a endpoint issue/menu L

I don't know the reason for your issue, but I do know you should never use parameter A to correct it. There is no good reason to ever use parameter A, as far as I can see, and it will ruin all your good hard work at set-up step G, assuming it was done correctly. If G was done incorrectly, then you could improve it with A, but it is far less precise than just doing it right in the first place at step G.
Move parameter A, and G will be out, if it was previously correct. Also, any correction made at parameter A, to compensate for example for a slightly out CoG, will make it doubly worse when inverted. Like I said, no good reason to use it. Like suggested by the last two contributors, check set-up step G. Don't forget that in step G, the swash levelling, via your links, and the setting of 0 degrees on the blades, must be done whilst one of the trimming lights is on. When one light is on, all three will be at their adjusted centres, assuming you have indeed adjusted them. These are the centres that will be used in flight mode. Of course if G is already correct, then it must be another problem, like one dodgy servo on aileron.

I had a bad piro wobble in 1 direction, but not the other. I turned the gyro down in my transmitter settings, that seemed to take care of it.
I guess I could have turned the tail gain down in the Beast-X, but I didn't have the manual handy.

I read your other posts and what ever procedure your using isn't cutting it. The control loop can only do so much and if the mechanics are out to much the problems you have been describing pop up.

Pretty sure the BeastX does NOT have tail gain settings...

The tail gain can be adjusted through the gear channel via the transmitter, or adjusted through the AR7200bx in Heading lock mode.
This is from the manual Quote:

Still sure the gain cannot be adjusted in the BeastX itself but only from the TX through the appropriate channel.

Oh ok! So when you change it in the transmitter, the beastx will just show a certain led to let you know where it is?

Yep. On all my models Using the spektrum radio I set the tail gain at 36% and the letter I believe G lights up when adjusting. This setting works well for me

Exactly, the BX is just telling you the range ov value it receives.
In other FBL units you can choose to set Gyro Gain in the unit iself to spare a channel (like in Spirit) but not on the BeastX & C.
