Default Battery size for the fireball

Any information on what size lipos will the fireball goblin going to take?

Planning of buying some lipos for my exo and rather just pay shipping once.

I'm not 100% sure but considering it's a little bigger than the blade 300X that runs a 3s 1350mAh, I would assume it would be around 1000mAh or so.

That's my guess.

Stock motor will be 4s, so my guess the best packs will be in the 1300-1500mah range (4s), same as oxy3+.

Stock motor is 6s I believe. Haven't seen any spec sheet that mentions 4s

Early specs were 4s for fireball and 6s for comet. They have since changed it - they are all 6S now.

Nope- all they said was 900 - 1250 mah. Have seen listings for SAB 1250 batteries (not released yet), just cant find any specs for them.

I bought the pulse 1250's- really hoping they fit!

Pulse 1050 6s 75c and optipower 1000 6s 50c are the two current that will fit. Base whatever brand you want off those dimensions. SAB 1250 is supposed to be in stock at Helidirect around the time of release

Of course it is.

This is the kind of crap that frustrates- 20 days from release, the heli is pre-ordered and no battery size specs are out yet.

Edit: thanks for the info Dark

Per Helidirect this am, while I was asking for an RMA, they have no knowledge of SAB batteries. But the rep did say that it's typical that he would find out about them when they showed up at the door to their warehouse....lol

Both the Pulse and Optipower are 'short' 6S packs at 73mm and 72mm respectively. Having now seen the Fireball up close over the weekend, it is somewhat smaller in 'real life' than might be perceived from the pictures. The 1300 6s nano packs i was looking to re-use look huge. I'll likely try initially but suspect new 'dedicated' batteries will be required (no change there really). Problem at the moment are options are scant and expensive. The Optipowers in the UK are nearly £50 each. Hopefully there will be a flurry of alternatives closer to release.

Interesting that both are only 73mm long - so I doubt existing 6S stick packs are going to fit. Interesting extra note - 'recommended for a 280/325mm blade sizes'. Does this suggest the Firball is going to stretch or am I reading too much into it?

I hope its a hint from SAB marketing guys - if you think about the g380 and the g420 stretch it could be...a game changer for me

you saw the fireball for real, so how does it would look with a longer boom?

Difficult to say. In general, I find 'stretches' slightly odd. I don't like the 'messed up' proportions - but that might be just me. In the case of the 420, I saw one of these at the weekend too and it doesn't look like a stretch. Maybe the kit has a larger canopy(?). Something similar may work with the Fireball, but it does make choosing 1050's or 1250's a bit more of a dileama! Watching the two video's, it does 'look' heavy with the 1250 pack but then they were going for an endurance flight. Need a comment from somebody thats flown both packs.

So far I've found this
http://m.helidirect.com/item/3438313439

Dinky little 45c pack- actually marketed by HD for the fireball. Have 6 on the way with the sale and free offer they are running.
