Default HD Cooling head for OS Max GT15

The new JC Designs Warm Air Regulator (WAR) head for the OS Max GT15 engines will significantly reduce the running temperature of the engine.

Custom designed and CNC machined from 6061 aluminum this high quality part mounts easily on either the GT15-600 or HZ engines, users will see an 80F or more reduction in engine temperature

Designed to fit the Leviathan G570 gas conversion with no modifications it may require fan shroud modifications on other models.

Initial run has limited available, for more information visit Gas Powered Helicopters

I can say after gathering temp data on the original OS15HZ engine and head, I installed this head and I currently have about 30 flights on it in Ambient temps of mid 90 deg F. With the original head my max temps were consistently in the 350 to 390 deg range. After installing the new head I have seen 250 to 285 deg F max temps. This head has a significant cooling ability over the stock head in my 570 G unit.
Honestly.... I thought it would help but I was surprised by its overall effectiveness.

I already ordered one last week and asked Carey to hold it back until the Price for the G570 Conversion will be available - I would like to safe shipping costs if I decide to buy it (still have the second possibility with the T-Rex 630 from Dennis)...I got my spare parts for my GT15HZ yesterday. One spiral retainer installed - like a heart operation!

Hi Carey,
Will it fit when the GT15HZ is used with a T700 shroud?

There is a version of the Hirobo Freya specifically for the GT15. Unless there is a fan shroud issue it should fit. GENERALLY if the large head 90's will fit, this will fit

whether or not it will cool adequately - dunno. The G570 converson has a custom made fan for maximum cooling. Combined with the warhead it runs over 80 degrees F cooler

Does the shroud in goblin 650 nitro work with this head? What about cooling? Is the fan in the kit adequate?

the goblin 650 shroud requires signficant modifications

Since I don't really recommend the engine for models larger than 600mm and it requires a lot of shroud modifications I have not tried it. My suspicion though is the it won't cool well because you have to cut the virtually the entire end of the shroud off to clear the head
