i was coming out of inverted using elevator, I heard a noise ,next thing heli was out of control and then down. (fortunately on a freshly ploughed damp field not our concrete airstrip) I thought initially the noise came from my tx due to the neck strap slipping slightly and losing control but I don't recall ever feeling I had had a dumb moment and remember just total surprise. you know how you feel when you know you've lost it/exceeded your abilities. so I'm sure as I can be it wasn't me....except maybe I overtighted the part

So, Clark, I maidened the 500L with the repaired swash.
The flight lasted 5 seconds in the air... The good news (if there is any considering, the main blades, boom, torque tube, forward tail gears - so far - "went west") is that crash wasn't caused by the swash. In fact, apart from some cosmetic damage, the swash seems to have survived the crash. Forensic examination of the electronics reveals, I'd accidentally restored the wrong back-up some weeks ago when I crashed the heli and the model on the transmitter got corrupted. While the servos were correct, the sensors were the wrong way round and as it took off, it keeled over into the ground from about a metre up. It was so long ago, I had forgotten I'd restored it - so, since it seemed OK, I didn't double check. Another hard lesson - check and double check everything! Still, given how the swash went, I'm prepared to give it another go. Paolo

U mean ur 550 swash ?
I'm thinking typo there eh ? Which Fbl controller do u use ? Or which was on this machine Paolo ? I think u mentioned u use 2 differnt on each bird I recently updated my Brain2 and in this update some guys lost their throttle channel , I was one of them , did not check after update never had any issues with updates . So was at the field and Esc would not boot so when got home plugged it in and there was a new update that fixed the bug on Ch. Assignment. No biggie for me just did not the fly the bigboy that day. Damn man that sucks and as you I have also did that too , somehow unit orierntation got changed just on a 450 I would like to add ya got a pretty nice field there and that pretty darn nice the boys let you fly there, bet ya won't be going on the other side of the goal anymore eh ? Glad ur swash held up it does look Skookum and durable Clark |

Hopefully, I'll have it repaired before the end of the week and a FULL AR7200BX setup done. Edit: Further checks of my swash showed it also suffered damage. I won't be re-using it. Paolo

Sorry, missed your post. Yes, It's the RC-TEK one and I got a pair direct from the US. The fresh setup didn't go well, see: ...and some days, you don't! But at least I caught it on the ground! Paolo
