I got some parts to work on the HCP60.

One issue was that the trims would change dramatically when I put it in IU1 or IU2.

Some experimentation hand held shows the swash tips down, due to the gyro, dramatically when the headspeed increases.

I took the blades off and the swash stays level. So, it is a vibration problem.

I balanced the head the best I could but still the issue was there.

Looking at the foam used to mount the gyro/main board, it seems way too stiff.

I re-mounted the main board on two small strips of velcro, so it kind of floats on the velcro.

That solved the problem.

The repaired head broke again, but the new one is still not here. Really must be on the proverbial 'slow boat from China.'

I repaired the head again and ran into more issues. One servo seemed like it had a problem at the connector. After much poking and prodding I finally narrowed it down to a bad lead right at the servo PC board. Turns out they put a little glue dab over the wires where they connect. That glue dab held the wire insulation in place, making it seem like there was good connection. After removing the glue dab, the black wire came right off.

Re-soldered it and it is in good flying condition again.
