Default Align 130a esc issue on 700x

Any align 700x owners having issues with their align 130a esc shutting down once they add collective.. Motor and esc spool up fine to proper headspeed, once collective is added it seems to go into cutoff mode and I need to auto it down.. cutoff voltage is set at 3.0.. This heli has flown great since I built it.. Put two flights on it today and the third flight I had the issue. batteries are in great condition and all solder joints are good..any thoughts.. Thanks

BTW I disabled cutoff voltage seeing if that would solve the issue.. no luck

I know you said that the batteries are good but have you tried other batteries just to be sure?

Slipping OWB possible? Any recent crash or tip over that could have damaged the OWB?

I've seen this same issue on other ESC before where as soon as you load the head, the OWB slips then suddenly grabs causing a massive current spike which sends the ESC into shutdown. It is not possible to induce this slip or test on the bench.

I seem to recall seeing discussions regarding the 700X having a OWB issue of some sort, but could be mistaken

thanks.. I will check that out.. I have a feeling that may be it.. No crashes or tip overs with the heli but I have noticed the one way beating acting funny.. Pretty early for a bad one way but I think that's the culprit

I recall Align having issues way back when the 500 Pro model was first released and mine had the issue. On that model it was common for the bearing to slip within the hub itself because it wasnt bonded in properly.

Eventually the gear would start to move up into contact with the frame sides which at first it would drive you crazy because everything was shimmed and installed properly and it didn't make sense that the gear was no longer in the correct location. It wasnt so visually obvious what had happened to cause the issue.
