Default neXt Sim with Spektrum WS1000

Just a heads up for people, the Spektrum wireless USB adapter does work with this Sim. I have it setup and working great. The adapter is a Spektrum WS1000 and retails for $40 dollars.

Is it fair to assume one needs a Spektrum radio to use this device?

Yes, a spektrum radio or radio with a spektrum module is required

It will also work with Heli-X and the upcoming Phoenix 6. There is also an Orange RX wireless dongle. Orange makes them in DSM2/DSMX and also Frsky protocols.
