Great indeed. Thanks Gerd!

I'm pretty excited about it. Sounds like I'll be able to have one in the air before this season is over :-)

Excellent

600 questions,

Is the frame ,head and gears all the Diabolo ?

Can we use this 600 boom assembly on a 700 Diabolo ?

Can we use the 550 belt and parts on a cut down 600 boom ?

Thx Tom

Default New Diabolo 600!!

Not that I know any of these answers for certain, but in looking at the photos posted, I think the following to be true:

The head looks to be the 550 head, as I don't see any shims where the blades mount. The 700 head uses shims even for 700mm blades, so would really need them for 600's.

The tail box definitely looks a bit different than the others. My guess is that it'd use the same diameter boom as the 700, only cut down. The wider boom at shorter length should allow for the lack of boom supports.

Not a clue on the frame, but I suspect a 700 frame using all plastic gears could possibly be light enough to be feasible for use for a 600. It's certainly small enough. but There was mention of a manually adjusted belt tensioner and quick change belt system, so there are likely at least a few changes to the frame, if it's not a completely new frame. The longer frame could possibly make a 550 belt length feasible too, but of course Gerd will have to answer that.

Edit: looking back, the frame does look quite a bit different. It looks narrower, because the tail servo sticks out farther. Also, the cyclic servos mount differently, more like how the 550 servos mount, but I believe they're full size servos. So it may use the 700 drivetrain gears, but the frame appears to be totally different.

Again, these are just my speculations based on what I see in the photos which Gerd said may not be applicable any more, and comments on what MiGHt be possible, based on those speculations. Until we see kits or Gerd answers, that's all we can do

Particulary. The frame is 56.5mm wide (550=52mm) to accept a 45 size motor (but not necessary).
The head is a mixture from 550 and 700 with new blade grips.
The second stage gear wheel is from the 700, but with other pinion and the first stage is a new gear wheel with the usual motor pinion.

Both a 30mm in diameter if you mean that.

Nice. I think a Pyro 650-65 Competition will go into mine, with an 18t pinion. Light weight power

The minicoptr site has been updated :-). Lots of close up pics :-)

I'm a bit puzzled by the clamp thing on the back of the frame on the boom. Maybe something to do with the adjustable tension Gerd mentioned?

Looks sweet :-)

It sure looks nice. I like that the frame comes in two pieces an upper and a lower part.

Do you guys think that 6s setup will strain the pack?
