Interesting design, the 270cfx and oxy 3 are about to get some competition. But i will pass on this one for the same reason i passed on the 270. As nice as it look, i doubt it will fly bettet than a Gaui x3. It is $455! For that among of $, i can a nice bigger second hand bird. I am sure you are going to have fun with it.

if I wanted something that flies like an X3 I'd buy an X3.

and putting this in the same category as a 270cfx is just plain wrong

Definitely agree with the 270cfx mention. Oxy 3 will be the only solid comparison.

Well, the x3 has 360mm blade based on flying physic and theory, it should be a much better flyer ( just fact not opinions). Don't worried i love my x3.The 270cfx has - 10mm on blades to the goblin and it is already 6s (10mm should not make a big difference on flight characteristics). The oxy 3 has already proven it self. Like i said this should be a great competition in that class, more option the better. Im very intrigued with a new direct drive system, and depending on how well it does, i will not be surprise to see other follow in that direction. This could lead to a major change in rc heli as we know it. This is one men opinion. As much a i love reading about it, and i will keep reading to get yours opinions of the bird. I just not for me. I have a v120d02s, 300cfx, v450d03, X3, D420, HD500, and Innova 550. I have my hand full. This little bird as good as it look not really meeting my need.

It would make the 'show us your Fireball' a bit more of a rogues gallery, all those wonky transfers and the one that folded in half as you pulled it off the sheet and never looked the same after! 😣

If it is a 'do-it-yourself', I'll be needing 2 sheets in the kit just in case. 🙂

Can someone persuade me to hit preorder? I have everything in my cart. I so want this, I went back and forth between the 280 and oxy2. My rational for no oxy is that it's just a smidge bigger 180 stretch. Albeit the 180 was a good machine, it was a pricey crash. I don't care for Sims.

In the end, to convince myself, which wasn't hard to be honest, I went with.

I prefer small helis and they suit my flying environment.
It's a Goblin and I don't have one
The design looks fantastic and brings lots of new ideas
The combo is a good price

For the Oxy2, it was a bit shorter

It's a Oxy2, how fantastic is that! 🙂

Wait. If you need convincing then you may regret it if you buy now. Wait until it's out and people get to fly and review it.

Facebook picture that give a good impression of size - though the colour rendering makes it look like it was taken using a 1970's 110 camara

Just the simplicity and ease of maintenance should have you buying a goblin. There's no other heli like it when it comes to those things.

thanks for sharing the links. SAB should step up their promotion...

the MiniComet Speed-Pass looks and sounds exciting to me, give us more input pleeeeaase.

the 5min flights looks and sounds total boring to me, nothing that i would want one.
how about headspeed?
how about flying weight with battery?
no hard manoveurs to save some juice, you could hear it how gentle it was flown
it seems to me, SAB has something to hide

It's weight should give it away for hard 3d you will get 3-3:30 Min of flight time max similar to oxy 3 and it's 200 grams lighter.
