so you should be able to get a donor kit pretty cheap

except for the canopy the competition 700 parts should work fine

joeys having the parts made for a run of kits

Default Any News on this kit?

Given the recent events with MA and the Whiplash gas I am very interested in this conversion kit. Any time line on its release and availability? Where would I look to purchase from?

Hey drwbcraft and all,

Thanks for the continued Interest and enthusiasm, I have been approached of late with a number of very keen pilots and thought I'd share my reply with everyone as replied privately.

I have currently full spares package sitting on my desk with remaining kits in transit (to OZ), all machined components are also in transit.

I apologise for delay after delay, but unfortunately as mentioned in private emails, if this kit is going to be affordable then I have to deal with o'seas suppliers : (

And when you don't have SAB like quantities then you are at the bottom of the stack, this is just a fact of life.

Anyway some more Improvements have been made on the BETA kits ( that I have been Informed are still going strong, happy to publicly hear BETA kit owners opinions).
And skids will now be Included to give more bang for buck amongst other things.

So this is the status as of Friday and I expect kits to be US bound to local distributor soon.....stay tuned.

Thanks again, regards Joey.

My understanding is that kits are in production as we speak (or type).

Default Well no its happening

Its just slow happening as explained above by Joey.

Incidentally Joey, who is the distributor in the US going to be and are they going to stock the conversion kits complete only or also have spare parts on hand?

Hey Raja,

Yes the Intention is the local supplier will have everything ! Full kits as well as spares.
Even OZ buyers will have to go through the US supplier.

Hope this helps.

Regards Joey.

As you may know there are two different Goblin 700 kits out. There is the older Goblin 700 and the new 700 Competition kit.

Will your conversion work with both versions of the kit or just one or the other.

Thanks

Hey Guys,

Just to clarify, the current conversion will only work with NON Comp kits. This is because of the bigger belt (as mention) but also the canopy (now 770 size on Comp kits)

However prototype parts are being made right now for the Comp700/770 and standard 770 (big belt upgrade compatible).

There is little difference b/w the standard conversion kit and the Comp conversion kit, with only new side frames, Inner clutch frame and slightly longer clutch shaft required.

I will post build progress when they arrive.

Please find pics of 700 Comp/770 conversion below.....

The only "unknown" is the newer Comp landing gear mounts (molded plastic), I have to see....but the current landing gear supports definitely work.

Regards Joey.

Hey that's cool. Looks like your favorite will be the goblin after the whiplash.

Its just fun trying new things....
I bought one Goblin kit to convert but built it as an electric while we are waiting for the conversions and it flies soooo nice that I am keeping it as an electic. (I just installed a Skookum 720 on it also to test) I ended up buying a second donor kit for the conversion...
We shall see...

Hey All,

Quick update, to all those who have kept the faith and shown real patience, I have this morning received all kits ready to ship (after a day or two of quick checks) they will be heading US bound mid next week.

Thanks again and all those who have been very positive and patient, the wait is almost over.

Cheers. Joey.
