The Diabolo S was a limited production run as well. Only 50 made and if you find a second hand one it also goes for a premium!

My Banshee #42 is worth a lot to ME, as I really enjoy flying her, so she will most probably never be sold.....

If you want an extremely capable speed helicopter look at the Minicopter Diabolo-S at least that comes with a speed fuze which is more than Banshee offered to its customers!
The Banshee was never offered with a full fuse and the speed record keeps climbing. So I don't think that was ever its selling point.

Other than being very rare and having impeccable part quality and finish work, what is has that no other heli can touch is an extremely high power to weight ratio.

There is no other heli on the planet that is as light as a Banshee and that will take 10kW of power reliably.

When you look at videos running +/- 16 degrees of pitch at 2300 rpm, what the Banshee is capable of is insane.

I still consider it the holy grail for lightweight 700's. Nothing else comes close.

In my case I didn't feel that I had skill to harnessing its abilities and I enjoyed my other helis a lot more when it had been a while since I had flown my Banshee, so I sold it.

This is strictly a speed machine, I doubt you could 3d a Diabolo S!!! So there is one major thing that makes the Banshee much different than any other heli out there.

And this ,my dear friend from the swamp lands, is how we feel when we fly this helicopter

Exactly. The fuze was kept for the factory pilots who held the world speed record which was a major selling point ! All the increases in speed record have of course been with full fuze' helis!

Agree with that although the lack of full fuze was a major contributor to its light weight.

Sorry but the power train of the Speed Diabolo takes that and more and at HS up to 2700 and I am quite sure the weights of the two are comparable. As you know well lipos selected make a major influence on AUW.

Me too!

I don't have a dog in this fight. I have been proud owner of Banshee #22 and Speed Diabolo #1 as well as having the first TDR in the Southern Hemisphere. They're all fabulous helis and I'm pleased Banshee owners continue to have pleasure and pride of ownership.
Have to say Jans and Gerds support was always way better than Banshee though ...
