You don't need 7 channels but I would not advise using that receiver in anything over a 450 size. Next step up is the 6200 basically the same receiver with a remote.

Certainly don't go with an AR6100e if you ever plan on flying far distances away from you (which on a heli this size, you can certainly do with ease). Go with the 6200 or 7000 due to the added range.

Default "E"

Hey 944, Glad to see you bought an "E"!! You won't be sorry..Yea parts are sometimes gettin hard to find but there are enough of us tyhat have them that you will get plenhty of help finding what you might need..
Your REC. will be OK ONLY for hovering and set-up!! You really need the satalite rec..
The BEC is Battery Eleminating circuit, and it allows you to power the heli using the main battery so you don't need a second battery!!
I use JR 821's on my "E" they are about 30 bucks ea. and work really well...
Good luck!!!!

I'm using 821's in mine too, good match for the heli at a good price.

Yeah, I'm sure you can use the AR6100 for hovering practice with close range. Any more than that and I'd be safe and get the 6200 or 7000.
