I had the SK-540 and I could never get it to fly good on my 600N or the 700N.
I never had a Beast X, so I cannot comment on that. However, I never had good results by adding more layers of tape on any gyro I have ever flown. The best results I have had is the Futaba gyro tape, part number FUTQ1000. A single layer of this tape seems to be the best I changed to the MSH Brain and the Brain 2. The MSH gyro and the Futaba tape seem to work best together on a nitro.

I went the opposite direction and swapped from the AR7200 to the SK540. Flies way better IMHO and much more resistant to vibrations.
For me it's much easier to fine tune than BX and was able to get the tail on my helis worlds better with the Skookum. Plus the AR7200 reacts to vibes worse than any other unit since it will right roll and drop it in on the head and there's nothing you can do to stop it. My tip would to use two layers of good vibe killing gyro tape if you're going to use the 7200

when you bind the helicopter whith the skookum 540 do you change the valor of youre throttle? like 50/50 or you stay at 100/100 (low, high)

Is it safe to assume you are using a Spektrum transmitter? Also, my assumption is that you are using the gov on the SK-540. That means you have 4 throttle "curves" set up on the transmitter: * Norm: 30% (flat from 0 to 100) * FM1: 70% (flat from 0 to 100) * FM2" 100% (flat from 0 to 100) These values are from my memory. The Skookum setup guide should have the exact values. * TH: 10% (or whatever is needed to maintain a good idle) (flat from 0 - 100). And... "Throttle Cut", which should be set to a value that achieves a fully closed throttle barrel (mine is -150%) When you bind, the SK-540 will use whatever the throttle channel's value is at that time as the "fail safe" setting. So, I would bind with the Throttle Cut enabled. You may have a fundamental misunderstanding of the relationship of the governor function and throttle curves. I sold all my Skookum stuff a few years ago. Skookum has bailed out of the RC heli market. They still sell the gyros, but there is no support for them and no upgrades. I fly MS Brain and the governor's relationship to throttle curves work the same.
