Yeah, that's part of his show... he isn't one of the Hard-3D or competition pilots, the only competition I saw him was MHM09 in Munich). He has a very inspirational style and he flies really precise.

Here's a insane video by Timo Wendtland flying his TDR... first video is a little bit short because his camera gave up...

Second video shows a TDR in all it's glory...

Just awesome...

It's awesome.

Flew like a dream straight from the work bench – no tweaking necessary – at all.

Hovering with 1350 RPM is amazing. Not a single sound other than blades beating air ever so slowly. It is scary silent – no shrieking gears, no nothing – you just see the blades spinning...
At almost 400 grams lighter than my 700E and with the same drive train, it certainly moves when you tell it to. IU2 is 1850...

I have a white canopy as well - a lot easier to see further away. The black one is fine for up close and personal

My ThreeDee NT, I have changed the motor to a OS 91 HZ-PS, a bit of a struggle actually, as the FX that was on it has a different shaft sticking out to mount the clutch assy. to.
The solution was using the FX's cranckshaft and rod in the HZ-PS... seems to work, but I have only had a short flight with it, the FX-crank has less flow for the fuel than the HZ... looking forward to seeing how it works out..

on to the pictures:

Engine area, spektrum revcounter and satellite, and a small temperature sensor.
had to move the pump to be able to mount the exhaust...

Rear, another satellite, logitech gyro, home made panel with the pin/flag, remote glow and fuel filling. (think i should have used flash on this pic)

Default Well TDR maiden complete

Today or rather tonight, was very overcast but complete and wanted to break things in and give it a whirl, quiet no vibrations and was a relaxing event overall. Now to break in pack, tweak abit to my liking and continue onward. Hard to see in such crappy skies, but I gotta a bright custom canopy in the works now.

Wow OICU812, those tdr pics are stunning.

Are you running the mini-vstabi and if so have you made changes to Jan's settings?

Today was Speedcup in Germany!

The fastest helicopter was a TDR with a top speed of 248 km/h.

It seems that Jan will release a new TDR 800 within the next 3 month (Rotordiameter of 1.8 meters).

There was a prototype of the TDR 800 at the speedcup. I couldn't find any pictures, yet.

But once I'll find them - I will let you guys now.

Cheers Marc
